  1. There are many of the settings that I always change and almost always to the same thing for all my goals (email schedule, panic threshold, max safe days, graph settings). It would be great if we could set up standard goal settings, and these would always be used for new goals.

  2. If today is Monday, and I am taking off Wednesday, I can't create a new goal and then immediately schedule a vacation, because vacations can only be scheduled 7 days in advance.

This requirement should be waived for new goals.

    line type: steppy&rosy&none
    turquoise swath
    moving average

The description could be a tooltip on the advanced page

  4. I'm not sure if "scrollable" is the right word but.. I like to look over all my goals, one-by-one, at least once a day. It would be great if I could open the first one and then just click "next" and it would take me to my next goal. this would save me a trip of going back to my homepage, trying to remember which goal I just came from and then proceeding to the next goal.

  5. For example, I would like my regular bot reminder to be at 9:30pm, but if it's an emergency day, I want to know at 9:30AM!

  6. Pros:
    1. awesome crispness on Retina displays (currently it’s meh)
    2. can be rendered much faster (less server load + better redraw times)

Cons: IE 8 doesn’t support SVG. A possible workaround is using something like Raphaël (a JS library for cross-browser vector graphics), but even a checkbox in the settings "I swear I’m never going to use IE 8, now please give me my SVG already!" would be cool.

  7. Disclaimer: Correct me if I’m wrong on any of the points.
Currently when creating a break on the road Beeminder sets the steepness for the scheduled days to 0.
Furthermore, it reduces the total amount of units until goal completion.

    Example:
Let’s pretend you want to devote 10 hours per week to furthering your knowledge. So you set the road steepness to that value.
Later you think that you want to take the weekends off and only learn during the workdays. So you create breaks for the weekends.
Beeminder now practically substracted the two days of the weekend from the…

  8. I didn't know what rate I should set for a few of my goals, so I set a low rate and started tracking my behavior. Now, I'd like to maintain my behavior, and then eventually increase my behavior. To maintain my behavior, I'd like to be able to automatically set my weekly rate to the historical rate.

Agreed! I personally have the same problem and am quite motivated to fix this. Our planned “generalized road dial” may be part of the solution to this. http://expost.padm.us/dial

In the meantime, you can hit Retroratchet and then figure out manually what your historical rate has been. Not ideal, obviously, but does work.

  9. It is possible to enter the days data in hours:minutes. it could be hugely helpful if it was also possible to see values in the right unit so one doesn't have to convert fractions into minutes.

There could be a setting for the unit so nothing would change for existing/not interested users.

  10. Ensure that you make the current weight field compulsary. I got through with my current weight as '0' without realising it. Caused me to get very confused indeed. in the end I junked it and started again...

  11. I would love it if you could track words written and/or edited in Google Drive, as you can Draft.

  12. Endomondo is a top rated activity tracker that works across almost all platforms. Would love to have beeminder functionality work with this app (though there's crossover between fitbit and endomondo, it won't work as I would prefer :)

  15. I have my trello lists separated by category (Home, Work, Errands, etc.) and it would be great to hook up beeminder to my trello account. I don't want a goal for each list though. I just want one goal that follows all the lists.

  16. http://i.imgur.com/1besALi.png

I keep all of my goals open in pinned tabs in chrome, and various UI elements do not update at midnight, requiring a page refresh.

This ought to be an easy fix?

  17. Like each datapoint, pink line, maybe the CL of your road - just date & value as you did on the data. On the graph I don't need to know how I entered it, but it would be good to take the guess out of where is the center of my YBR.

    That’s a really good idea!

(The way we’re generating the graph images currently makes that easier said than done, so this might be a while, but we agree it’s worth doing.)

  18. When one has various beeminder goals, and additional "meta-motivation" can exist by having in your goals page a counter of "how many days have you been on your road without derailing from all your active goals". In other words, It would be a great motivation to have some kind of informational display that tells me how many days ago was my last beeminder sting from any active goal. I think seeing this number increase would help reduce slacking off and stuff.

  19. It's taking sometimes a good minute or more to re-draw a graph after adding data. This is quite annoying, as part of the joys of using Beeminder is the immediate feedback of seeing your progress.

  20. I'm using the "suggestions" feature of UserVoice to submit bugs. It would be nice (and I believe UserVoice makes this available) to have a different tab for suggestions, bugs, etc. That way, users can easily submit bugs or feature requests from one place.
