  1. Since the Withings scale is already supported and FitBit sleep data as well, I think it would be cool to get the sleep data out of Withings.

  3. By intergrating with toodledo you would be intergrating with a variety of apps that sync with the task management website. Would be great if a goal is update automatically when a repeating or one time task is checked off in toodledo. With a detailed setup a trigger would be a task by folder, context or tag.

  4. It would be nice to have my graph automatically published on Facebook each time it is updated.

Currently, I'm posting my weight on Facebook directly from my Withings scale. However, this only posts the current weight. I'd like it to link back to a graph, so the number is more easily interpreted.

Additionally, it might be nice if it would be possible to change what exactly is posted. For a weight graph for example, it might be nice to post the value of the purple line instead.

The desired behavior is to first allow the % character in slugs, and then to percent-encode previously disallowed input. (Modern browsers can display such percent encodings as the proper characters)

  6. The new Draft integration is great! But the fact that it counts words added OR deleted is less so. As an example: I went to correct a word and because the iPad implementation of draft is a little sketchy, ending up accidentally hitting paste -- which pasted a 5,000 word 'copy' that I'd made. Suddenly the program thought I was 10,000 words further along than I really was (it counted both the addition AND the removal.) If this is, as is claimed supposed to be for Nanowrimo, it's only the final count that matters -- no credit is given for…

  7. Have an optional main page with a tabular summary of all your goals. Maybe the columns could include; Goal Name, Days to Derail, Pledge Amount. This would be especially handy for those with a lot of goals.

  8. I now get three separate emails for the three goals I track, and this can be overwhelming. it would be great if beeminder sent one email with three (or however many for a user's goals) sections that I would fill out and send back.

    Thanks for considering it!

  9. It would be immensely useful to have beeminder detect the browser timezone and provide an option to change the set one if it doesn't match. I routinely forget to change it when I travel and end up derailing goals unintentionally.

  10. I'd find it useful to be able to enter a data point in multiplication format without having to do the sums myself.

I have a goal to finish knitting projects by keeping track of rows. Since how much effort a row of knitting takes varies wildly between projects I have to adjust the road for each project or stage of project. If I could easily input e.g. "8112" or "2723" it would be easy to track stitches knitted instead to keep track of progress.

I think it would generalise to more than just knitting! Repetitive exercises for example.

  11. Some goals, like strength-training, can have multiple aspects. One aspect is how often you do the exercise itself (e.g. am I going to the gym twice a week?) while other things include the repetitions you do and the amount of weight you use.

It would be nice if beeminder could plot this metadata and associate it with the given goal. So I could see a graph of my weight lifted over time, but only beemind my actual gym visits

Based on the thread "reminder (or goal) to record weight" in Akratics Anonymous.

  14. When entering multiple submissions to a single goal in the android app, occasionally the chart will refresh while I'm typing the comment for the next submission. After the refresh, the comment is lost. It would be good to preserve any values before refreshing all of the screen elements.

  15. Currently users self-report on beeminder goals. That's good, but we can lie, we can round things up/down, and we can take samples at convenient times. If there's money at stake, and that money is significant to the user, then some users will simply misreport rather than fail a goal.

However, if you have a buddy reporting a goal, you can't as easily weasel out of it.

This is a suggestion to allow nominate (on a per-goal basis) another user or users as "buddies" who can also enter data for that particular graph.

  16. When you start a new goal you should get the option to set your goal end date and total goal amount. It is possible to do this, but it should be extremly easy to do.

  17. Right now, if I ask LastPass to autofill my credit card info, it doesn't put in my card number or anything like that. Maybe if you add "for=" to the "Card number", "CVC" and "expiration" fields or add ID's with relevant text?

  18. On the goal page, add some sort of indicator to make it understood whether the "Until derailment" time is until you LOSE or until you COMPLETE the goal.

This becomes a problem sometimes if you're trying to build a buffer on a 'do more' goal and every day the buffer gets smaller because you forgot that your completion date is closer than the buffer time.

  19. iOS apps can have a little red number on the app's icon. It would be useful if it could show the number of goals that need still to be updated today, so I'm less likely to forget to enter the data.

  20. Beeminder and Lift.do have very different approaches to habit formation; both have strengths and I have found the benefits to be pretty much orthogonal to one another. Some may think of them as competitors, but I hope they think of each other as siblings. :)

Lift.do motivates me to consistently track habits that occur several times each week because of its attractive design and ease of use. The motivation and learning that results from the its social aspects (comments; props; notes) also keep me coming back to the app.

HOWEVER, the habits/data that I generate with lift.do would be much…
