You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Set weekly rate to historical rate

I didn't know what rate I should set for a few of my goals, so I set a low rate and started tracking my behavior. Now, I'd like to maintain my behavior, and then eventually increase my behavior. To maintain my behavior, I'd like to be able to automatically set my weekly rate to the historical rate.

planned  ·  Admindreeves (Cofounder, Beeminder) responded

Agreed! I personally have the same problem and am quite motivated to fix this. Our planned “generalized road dial” may be part of the solution to this. http://expost.padm.us/dial

In the meantime, you can hit Retroratchet and then figure out manually what your historical rate has been. Not ideal, obviously, but does work.

  2. iOS data usage

The iOS application uses more data than any of my other apps, except for the App Store! I don't even use it very much, as the email interface is convenient for entering data. Perhaps instead of using server-side image generation for the graphs, they could be generated locally to save data usage.

  3. Have a way to more easily submit bugs

I'm using the "suggestions" feature of UserVoice to submit bugs. It would be nice (and I believe UserVoice makes this available) to have a different tab for suggestions, bugs, etc. That way, users can easily submit bugs or feature requests from one place.

  4. allow more customized bot reminder options

For example, I would like my regular bot reminder to be at 9:30pm, but if it's an emergency day, I want to know at 9:30AM!

  6. Don't show "$0" on the graph.

This has decreased my motivation by reminding me I have nothing at stake.

  7. Sort Datapoints by their Comment

I would like to be able to sort datapoints based on the comment on them. For example, I have a goal for music playing, but I play multiple instruments, so being able to see how much time I have spent on each instrument based on the comment would be great.

  8. Allow complete hiding of goals

The current concept of secret goals is strange. If I don't want others to see my goal, I normally don't want others to know that there is a secret goal either.

The current concept actually hinders sharing of goals, because I don't want to receive questions from friends etc about those secret goals.
Feature request: Allow complete hiding of goals.

  9. add ui to access the datapoints page from archived goals

You can still type the route in and get the page, so it seems pretty harmless. Loving the recent ui updates, though :)

  10. iOS bug: Entering a number in the "per week" dialog box gets interpreted as "per day"

The "dial road' functionality in the iOS app shows the goal as a correct "per week" number, but when you modify it and press the "dial-it-in" button, it seems to be interpreted as "per day" quantity.

  12. Odometer with initial value and goal to decrease it

Maybe this is possible with the advanced goals. What I need is the odometer function of adding or substracting values but instead of starting from 0 start with an initial value and have the goal to decrease that value. Similar to the inbox fewer but instead of reporting the current total to be able to report + or - changes.
My current use case wouldbe to reduce the number of items in Pocket. Using IFTTT I can have mails each time an item is added or archived but not the current total, if I forward this emails to te bot I could have automatic reporting to beeminder.
If you have other suggestions on how to do this please let me know.

    Thanks.

  13. Global activity stream

I just caught myself adding a data point and returning to my dashboard, only to be unsure of which graph I just added a data point to! In fact, over the period of a day, it can be hard to know which goals I have been working on.

  14. make retroratchet more intuitive for specific goal dates

I have a goal with a specified date and weekly rate. If I retro-ratchet, my goal date changes. Better behavior would be to keep the goal date fixed, and just increase the goal value. Right now I'm trying to retroratchet but my goal date keeps changing, which is super frustrating.

  15. clarify retroratchet phrasing

If I have a goal whose road dial I have increased, but the changed slope has not been reached yet, does retroratcheting jump to the increased slope as well? The phrasing was unclear to me about whether I'd be back on the road at the same rate I've been at, or whether the rate would change to the rate at the akratic horizon.

  16. [Android app] Preserve submission values when refreshing the chart

When entering multiple submissions to a single goal in the android app, occasionally the chart will refresh while I'm typing the comment for the next submission. After the refresh, the comment is lost. It would be good to preserve any values before refreshing all of the screen elements.

  17. Can you please put a clarification on the advanced task page? In particular: line type: steppy&rosy&none, turquoise swath, moving average

    In particular:
    line type: steppy&rosy&none
    turquoise swath
    moving average

The description could be a tooltip on the advanced page

  19. Romance me a bit

You've got "Add a credit card" up there. Yeah good. GOOD FOR YOU! As a business you've totally forgotten WIIFM (what's in it for me). I will probably NEVER give you a credit card, because... I sense you care about your interests before mine. Try to wine and dine me before you try to fuck me.

  20. HTML-escape datapoint comments.

The comments appear to drop anything in angle brackets instead of escaping it.
