Allow for write-protected comments or other arbitrary data
1)Having write-protected comments would allow for a more robust hackery, such as an improved Must-Do list.
2)Being allowed to attach arbitrary data to a goal would allow for even more interesting hackery.

Dreeves, not feasible.
I have been thinking more about the concept of contract lock-in, and the approach I currently have in mind is a wiki/Beeminder mash up. A contract in this system is a wiki entry, and you can lock arbitrary subsections of this entry. Unlocking will cost money, as it derails you for that portion of the wiki entry.
I'll see if I can't beemind my way into creating a proof of concept for this...

Love the way you think! In the meantime do you think it would work well enough to point friends/family at your goal (and turn on public datapoints) so there's at least a chance someone would notice if you changed what you'd committed to?
Also, if you have an iPhone, have you tried GTBee? http://blog.beeminder.com/gtbee

Basically, give everyone a wiki that's somehow integrated with the goals...k?
