A prototype now exists! See http://forum.beeminder.com/t/gtbee-for-android/777

I'm working in my day job on bringing my team's metaprogramming framework to Android (originally web) and GTBee for Android wouldn't be a bad shakedown app. As a bonus, I'm reading the new edition of the GTD book right now, and was already thinking about an app for this.
Maybe combine it with the backlogminding concept too. No promises, but if it's not already being actively worked on, I can probably pick it up sometime this quarter. I found https://www.beeminder.com/meta/goals/gtbee but that looks like it stayed flat for the year.

Ah okay, thanks for the update.

@Sean, that sounds hard. Maybe if we backed it? Serious answer: App.net had made us an offer we couldn't refuse and were helping us set up that Backer. Then they laid off all their employees and that came to a screeching halt. We still like the idea in theory but it's not been a top priority. When it makes it to the top of the list here on uservoice -- which it eventually will! -- then we'll reconsider it.

Are you still planning on launching the backer campaign? Maybe we could do a backer-backer to fund the launching of the backer to fund the app? :D

Interesting! I haven't seen backer.app.net before, but I would be willing to pay towards such a campaign.

Here's a preview of a possible kickstarter-like campaign we were thinking about running for this: https://backer.app.net/preview-483/?preview=8tvc6Ga6 (NB: not live yet!).
