retroratchet: let user specify how many safe days to keep
Retroratcheting down to 2 days of saftey buffer is almost never what I want to do. Please let the user specify how many safe days to keep when retroratcheting.

(oops, we forgot to mark this as completed! You can do this – see the comments.)

I agree with other comments that Retroratchet needs to be more flexible. (Good comments here: http://forum.beeminder.com/t/thoughts-about-retroratchet/229 )
Being able to better control the pressure imposed by the YBR should be a standard part of BeeminderI only expect to be Beeminding a few goals at any one time and this is the only premium feature I would use. So $8/month is pretty pricey for the benefit.
I don't think that the fully Configurable RetroRatchet or Capping the Safety Buffer are essential features needed at the Free Plan level. But there should at least be an option for resetting to the safe edge of your YBR rather than the centerline. The definition states that it is to remove the excess safety buffer. In my mind, the edge of the YBR defines excess, not the centerline.
It is likely that once I start to depend on Beeminder, I would pay a small fee ($1 or maybe $2/ month or per use) for the Configurable Retroratchet feature. (It's much like the single option to get 10 Freebees for $10 without needing to buy Plan Bee.)

Ah, that's a premium feature. http://beeminder.com/premium (the cheapest plan -- Bee Lite)
We're looking for more feedback on that, actually. Definitely let us know if you, say, find it annoying to have only nonconfigurable retroratchet but would feel even more annoyed paying a monthly fee just to have it.
We're also thinking about revamping how retroratchet works and this may become moot...
