It would be great if you could zoom in and zoom out -- particularly if you could zoom out to see your goal at the end of the road if it's more than two weeks away.

I'm not sure this would be better. Seeing that I only need to be a little bit further along in the next week helps keep me "in the now" and not feeling the daunting task of how far along the road I really have left.
