I think an app for Beeminder on my iGoogle homepage would be a great way to improve functionality of Beeminder. My idea is pretty simple. Take the basic functions of the Beeminder homepage for a certain goal and put that on the iGoogle homepage. For example, I've got a goal to loose weight. Everyday I enter my data either through email or through the Beeminder website. With an iGoogle app I could view my graph for my weight loss goal; below that I could enter in that day's new point, then somewhere in the box I could press on an arrow and toggle to my next goal. It'd all be right there whenever I open my browser.

I have several reasons for thinking this would be great:

1. I wouldn't need sms or email reminders. I open my browser everyday. The beeminder app would be right there to remind me to enter my data.

2. Motivation! I like looking at my beeminder page throughout the day. It reminds me that I probably don't need that piece of candy and I probably don't need to spend 20 minutes reading about Caligula on wikipedia instead of getting my work done.

3. Selling point. This would be another great way to let people know about Beeminder. Once the app is on iGoogle and all of us beeminders start adding it to our pages, other people are going to see it and realize "that is a great idea. I need beeminder in my life!"
