Non daily goals
I would love to use beeminder to track how much money I'm saving (wich is not loewring expenses). But since the salary is once a month, it will be pointless to enter data each day.

Marty, I think the solution is to start with a flat spot on your road so you always have enough safety buffer. That has the inverse problem, that you can slack off too much in that first week, but I think it's the closest you can ever get to the best of both worlds. You decide how much safety buffer you need and, with the exception of that initial buffer, Beeminder will enforce your 5-days-a-week forever after (on average).

I just realized that I should be able to safely get 2 days behind without failing as well. So maybe the "X days per week" type of goal is something special after all.

Mine is even more complex, but there might actually be a simple way to do it that I haven't figured out.
I want to track whether or not I stick to my Fast-5 diet plan at least 5 days a week. It's a binary thing on a daily basis. Either I did or I didn't. I can't stick to it twice in a day and I should never be able to get more than 2 days ahead of my goal.

Non-daily goals actually work well with beeminder. See blog.beeminder.com/chunky for an explanation of how they work.
