Allow me to change the settings of a completed goal.
Once a goal has successfully been completed, there is an option to Reset. That button hides the Settings tab. But maybe I want to change the settings: make it public/private, or hide/show the turquoise swath.

Thanks for the nudge to mark this complete, Robin! We're not entirely sure whether settings should be available for derailed goals but there's a workaround for now: Unfreeze it with a flat road and then either hit Archive or set the goal date to a week in the future. Either way you'll never have to actually do anything on that goal.
A possible argument for having that hurdle: if you've got your head in the sand about re-railing it might be valuable to have a good nudge like that. Like "ok, I guess as long as I'm unfreezing this I'll try it again with a nice shallow yellow brick road".

When archiving was introduced, a side effect was making this possible at the same time: a completed goal can be made public/private, without any workaround. It isn't possible for failed goals, but maybe that makes sense.

I had to do this recently. I wanted to set a completed test goal to hidden.
My workaround was to restart the goal, change the setting and let it expire.

Two comments on this:
1. The Reset button is no longer at the same place as the Settings tab. But the Settings button is still not apparent.
2. You can access the advanced settings by typing the URL directly, but not the basic settings. Therefore, all settings can be changed except for making the goal public/private. -

Compelling point! If a few more people vote for this, we'll hurry and do it. :)
(We're kind of drowning in feature requests and support at the moment and having to ruthlessly triage. This one makes a ton of sense and should be easy though! Except I think there was maybe a technical/layout reason for replacing the settings tab with the reset button. There will be a way around it, obviously, but might not be the super quick fix it would otherwise be.)
