Make a Beeminder Android app
Pay no attention to this other idea: https://beeminder.uservoice.com/forums/3011-general/suggestions/2298841-make-a-beeminder-iphone-app
One known bug so far: if you change your rate units in advanced settings to something other than “weekly” then the road dial in the Android app won’t work right.
Please let us know of others!

Thanks for working on this. Alpha is installed :)
It crashes when hitting the plus without having logged in.

Thanks for the new alpha, I just got back to beeminder (going to school now), so I'm using it to keep track of my hw pomodoro's

I'd totally be up for an alpha test. I'm kinda losing the motivation to beemind myself, and it's about the one thing I can't beemind properly!
Rendering a really simple graph on the client would also be nice, just as an overview of where you are. I've seen a few nice graphs in some of the Google Analytics mobile apps, so hopefully there's some good libraries around.

I found an Android app called FastMail, where you can add a shortcut to your launcher screen which will pre-populate an email with an address, subject and body. I have a button to open a new email to Beeminder, with the subject dictating the goal, and the body defaults to "^ 1". It's ugly but it works. An app would certainly be nice to have.

Yes. You should do this. If I accomplish my jogging, dishwashing, or "work", I wanna log it NOW while I'm thinking about it, and not have to wait til I get back to a bigger screen. By which time I've forgotten. If you know what I mean.

Awesome! I guess step 0 would be something that's roughly equivalent to the sms bot. It could just put your number of safety buffer days in the notification bar (when that number is < 3, say) and give you a text field to enter data, maybe pointing you to the website to see your graph if that's easier initially.
I'll tell you offline about our rudimentary API if you're eager to dive in. The API will change a lot but should be fine to get started.
Thanks so much for the offer to help with this (and we know you're serious after all the improvements you made to TagTime!)!

I'd be willing to work on this, once I get more comfortable with Android apps. Let me know if you have some ideas on UI.
