  1. Allow integer data only goals, and then round up bare min stats

For several of my goals, I am measuring units of work which must be entered as integers (e.g. changing my dyson vacuum filters, calling my uncle, or ice cubes fed to my orchid).

Beeminder doesn't know I can't do less than 1 of these, so it tells me that I need to call my uncle 0.0011 times in the next 18 days, or that I need to change my vacuum filters 0.011 times in the next 9 days.

With the setting I am suggesting, Beeminder would display "1 in the next X days" for these types of goals.

  2. Use 'Calories' (capital 'C') for RunKeeper goals

1000 calories = 1 kcal = 1 Calorie. Maybe not the world's best convention, but convention nonetheless. Uppercase Calories are what nutrition labels and exercise apps refer to.

  3. Allow immediate archiving/deleting if you have a week of safety buffer

If I'm deleting a goal and I have a week of safety buffer, I should be able to delete it immediately. I wouldn't have to enter anything for the next week anyway without derailing, so it's just taking up space and irritating me without forcing me to do anything for another week.

  4. Sort Datapoints by their Comment

I would like to be able to sort datapoints based on the comment on them. For example, I have a goal for music playing, but I play multiple instruments, so being able to see how much time I have spent on each instrument based on the comment would be great.

  5. Allow retrotracheting "do less" goals by value rather than days.

I'd like to be able to trim the buffer on my do less goal by how much buffer I have rather than how much time till I derail. This is both because the "how much time to derail" measure is kinda meaningless for them and because it lacks the fine grained control I need.

  6. Bug: The iPhone app never updates any of my graphs

On my iPhone, whether in the goal listing view or when viewing any one goal, every graph appears identically as it did from the moment of goal creation over two weeks ago. =-(

  7. Default the Add credit card Expiration month to 1

Putative bug: The Expiration month on the add payment form defaults to the current month.

Expected behaviour: The month should default to 1, as is the case with 99.31416% of other sites' forms. It is odd to have to consider what the current month is and so which direction to arrow up or down to, especially since the current month is not visibly related to likely expiration month.

  8. Make metabeeminder goals automatically update

I want to be able to make a goal which automatically looks at the status of my other beeminders to automatically determine status of the metabeeminder goal.

Allow the user to select from options such as sum of goal values, number of on-track beeminders, or number of derailments. Then allow the user to select which of their beeminder goals are included.

As an example of a case I would use it for, I lift weights. I have a beeminder which I use to keep track of the total weight of my bench press, deadlift, and squat. I fill it in…

  10. Don't use font-based icons.

I don't allow sites to load custom fonts, for complicated reasons.[*] That means that recently many of your fancy buttons became unreadable, because they're just random Unicode symbols for me.

This doesn't bother me much so far, but it's slowly making the site unusable. Please don't put important controls behind tiny icons that might not even render. Use human-readable text. Text is a Good Idea.

We've finally moved past Flash scrollbars and related usability disasters. Please don't be part of The Next Sucky Thing.

    [*] Reasons include: "I can't read your silly/tiny/giant/messy/etc. fonts", "I have a complex font stack…

  11. Let me archive goals I've Completed Successfully immediately.

I have a goal in state "Goal Completed Successfully" that I want to archive. For some reason it is counting down 7 days until it will actually archive.

I can't think of any reason to prevent archiving of a completed goal.

Show time to derailment on the main overview page underneath each goal.

  14. Have prev/next buttons or arrows to cycle through goals

When reviewing my goals I find I click on one, then back, then the next, then back, etc. It'd be great to be able to click from one goal to the next.

Also, equivalent keyboard shortcuts like left/right arrow would be great.

  15. Data Entered Today

I have a couple goals such as "minutes of focused work" and "push ups."

It would be nice if there was a stat counter that showed how much data has been added for today.

So at a glance, I can see how many minutes I've worked today. How many push ups I've done etc.

  16. Add a way to manually override auto-integrated input for certain days

I lost my Fitbit, and for the first few days I tried manually entering how much I slept, but it kept getting overwritten with 0.

  17. Allow setting different reminder defaults for new goals

I've set all my goals to only send reminders on eep days and I keep expecting new goals I create to behave to same but they don't.

I would like to be able to change the default reminder schedule so that I don't have to set it up every time I create a goal.

I stopped using beeminder the first time because of too many email reminders so I aggressively cut it down to eep days but inevitably I forget to change it on new goals, which adds noise to my inbox when I receive non-eep emails (which I confusedly…

  18. Allow scheduled breaks to be deleted.

The only way I can figure out to effectively delete a scheduled break is to change the break rate to match your goal rate. There should be a way to simply delete scheduled breaks.

  19. Be able to sort & sequence goals numerically / alphabetically

I do my various goals at different times of the day. Very often in a particular sequence. Like (1) work out after I wake up, then (2) do my must do task, then (3) learn something new etc.. and end the day with (n) go to bed by 10pm. If I could see my goals in my sequence in beeminder, I could run my day from my beeminder goal "dashboard"

  20. Integrate with Google keep

Google keep is another lightweight todo list manager where you create checklists and check them off. One simple integration might be to count the number of google keep lists (perhaps filtered by tag) that are completed.
