  1. Currently, even if the user doesn't revoke an application (I know, because it's my app and I didn't revoke me!) every so often (months probably) the OAuth2 access token stops working. Now, given the OAuth2 spec, access tokens are generally meant to have a finite lifespan, but that's why we've usually got a refresh token, which can then be used to generate new access tokens, but the OAuth2 for Beeminder doesn't seem to supply those...

I'd really like apps to just keep working once a user authorises them, unless they explicitly remove them. Having tokens just die with no user…

  2. wordpress.com blogs can't have iframes and I imagine that isn't the only place on the web. Would be nice to have the code provided that does basically <a href="link to graph"><img src="link to graph image"></a></img> (which is what I did for my blog post: http://blog.wraithan.net/2015/01/13/beeminding-zenircbot-3-0/ )

Even better would be if the url took parameters to tell it the size of graph to make (with obvious limits) so I can make a widget that fits nicely in a side bar of any width. Or make them a bit smaller to have two side by side in a post without making…

  3. Just like we can with our datapoints, being able to export the average would be nice as a lot of people consider it the "true" value of e.g. their weight

  4. Currently there's a lot of screen space devoted to showing who I'm logged-in as on the dashboard ("Your Goals") page. I know who I am, so that's not useful information to me. I'm there to (1) enter data and (2) check for goals that need work. The (2) part is pretty well covered, but data entry is shoved down on one side. I'd rather have it up at the top like an "omni-bar" with auto-focus, so that I can update my most urgent goal without even clicking.

  5. This has been discussed in the forum here:
    http://forum.beeminder.com/t/feature-request-store-safety-buffer/227

    Briefly:
What would be super cool is if i could "store" my safety buffer for a goal and only apply it if i need it. It's not being akratic because i had earned those days before.

  6. has been discussed here:
    http://forum.beeminder.com/t/giving-me-a-reward-to-motivate-me-to-retroratchet/744

    Briefly:
Please give me some incentive to Retroratchet. Make me feel happy doing it. I cannot lose my efforts and throw it in the sea. I know the whole system is just a trick to my self to make me work and that is the point which is achieved by the current Retroratchet system. But that color trick works and makes me feel that the safe days are my bank account.

I suggest to make a rewarding trick for Retroratchet. Let's say introduce another measure (other than the safe days and the graph), like let's…

  8. Currently supporters are only informed about it after you actually derail. This isn't terribly useful to me; at this point it's already "too late" to do anything to prevent the derail.

Support an option to alert supporters to the situation when a goal has less than X days to derailment, so that they can help motivate you to get off the coach or whatever it was you promised to do.

  9. I searched for this topic in the forum and did not find anything similar, however, I apologize if I am duplicating a comment. It would be awesome if we could annotate our graphs and see those annotations by hovering over the appropriate spot on the graph, similar to the way commenting is performed for songs in SoundCloud.

I sprained my ankle last week and had to adjust my fitness goal to be more flat. It would be great if down the road, when I have forgotten about the injury, to be able to hover over a flat spot and see…

  10. They can not exceed 16.01.2038!
Let me know when it happens to changes my goal date from 2038 to 2068. What is the earliest date for removing the 2038 limit? Is it a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2038_problem?

  11. Say I spend a weekend working hard on a goal and end up about a week ahead. (Concrete example: I'm going through a textbook and converting vocabulary to flashcards, beeminding pages processed.)

At this point ... well, I'm a week ahead, and Beeminder's not going to give me any incentive for all those days till I get close to eep again.

If I want to destroy that buffer and continue at the same rate with a sooner goal date, I can retroratchet.

But with the goal being less about working hard (like exercise goals or bad habits are) and more…

  12. If you're logged out and you click on a goal, you're redirected to the log-in page. After you log in, you're redirected to your goal dashboard.

It would be nice if you were instead redirected to the goal you clicked on. I seem to get logged out a lot, so this is a regular annoyance for me.

  13. I would like the x-min date on the graph to move with the front of the graph so in total I would only see 3 weeks on a graph.

It means for long term goals I can see how close I am to the line easier.

  14. as of now, one users' tagtime can exist on only one device, in order not to mess up the logs (and, consequently, the goals)

Please provide an option to sync tagtime pings between different devices (one smarphone and one desktop computer, for example)

  18. There are a number of fitness/health variables people would love to track (sleep, calories, water, weight, heart rate, naps, etc), on a variety of services (Google fit, Fitbit, Samsung health, run keeper, etc etc). Rather than try to integrate every single service and variable, please consider integration with FitnessSyncer (https://www.fitnesssyncer.com). This would allow anyone using any of their supported apps for any of their tracked items.

I have already created several dashboards in their service for things I would love to track, and would love to be able to simply send that data to Beeminder.

  20. Right now, when you hover over the goal title, the title attribute, which shows a little dialog, is the same thing. Why not make the title attribute the goal details, since the goal details are sometimes truncated.

Sometimes those goal titles get truncated so in that case the mouseover text is useful. But you’re right, it should give some kind of additional useful info as well.

By “goal details” do you mean “Goal”, “Risking”, and “Status”?
