  1. RememberTheMilk integration would be perfect for ensuring I "take care of the little things". Their API (https://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/api/) requires prior arrangement for commercial use, but I suspect they would heartily approve of this since it would only encourage people to use RTM more heavily and with less attrition.

    1. Make the good/bad side of the road reddish and greenish as well as the big background numbers to associate it with "good"/"bad" and to clarify which is which.
    2. Make the thin yellow lines green to associate it with "good".
    3. Introduce a light orange "wrong lane" area between the road and the red area analogous to orange data points.
    4. Make the main line of one continuous color, a mix of the current colors. ("What does it mean that there is a gap today and not tomorrow?") Alternatively, remove it - it adds no important impression.
    5. Finally, remove the colors of the…

  2. I'd like to be able to receive and respond to time-tracking pings from my phone (ideally, also from PC-based notifications in case I'm at a PC but don't have cell service) and have all my responses tracked and analyzed "in the cloud." This way I can track time that isn't spent at a computer (more descriptively than just "afk").

I’m so hooked on tagtiming that I wouldn’t ever rely on a network connection or even a cell connection to get my pings.

Still, this is a great idea for people less obsessive about that.

(Note that if you have an android phone we do have a tagtime app.)

  3. wanikani.com is a great site for learning Japanese. It's got a very nice public api. Can you please integrate with it the same way you integrate with duolingo? Thanks!

  4. Withings (maker of the already integrated scale) makes an activity tracker. It would be nice to have this automatically update step data similar to the FitBit system on Beeminder. I am posting this even though there is already a post on the Pulse sleep tracking since I see those as two separate items. Activity is more important to me than sleep tracking.

  5. Currently if I am on a smaller form factor device such as my phone. I either have to zoom to see anything and drag around, or if my OS happens to have an app for it I can download it. Two problems with this. First is new mobile platforms are unsupported (I work on the Firefox OS project) the second is that the barrier to entry for using the site is a lot higher on mobile, I have to go find your app in the app store then download it, then I can start doing things.

  7. Please improve the performance of the website. Browsing, entering data and (especially) the regeneration of images all very sluggish or outright slow. It spoils a lot of the fun.

  9. So I can just check in and enter data for as many goals as I like with one mouse click. Maybe keep the syntax used on the SMSbot (but I wouldn't have to create multiple texts). All these goals that I am tracking are eating into my day and I am just looking for shortcuts. This is a great idea and I'd give it more votes but I only have one left.

  10. I don't know if it's just me, but it feels like I have to log into Beeminder once every other day or so, even though I'm a daily visitor. It seems more frequent than on the other sites I stay logged in on. Is there a way to make the logged in state more persistent, so that I only have to re-enter my password once every few weeks or so (or even longer, as far as I'm concerned), the way it is for Gmail and other sites like that?

  11. It isn't obvious how one interacts with the various parts of a goal page. For example, a naive user won't automatically figure out how to enter in data for the day. How about a nice big friendly "Help" button, maybe in green or something else that stands out, to give users some ideas on how to use UI.

  12. I think the current way of scheduling breaks is a little bit too cumbersome. It is also difficult to see for which days one has scheduled breaks. What I would suggest is providing a calendar view for each goal. The idea would be that for each day of the calendar you see a number indicating the rate of the goal for that day. For instance, if for a given goal you have a daily rate of 10, then you would see the number 10 for each day in the calendar. If you have scheduled a flat spot for certain days…

  13. I suck at getting places on time. I'd love a commitment device that allows me to have a goal such as:

"Arrive no more than 10 minutes late, 80% or more of the time."

This is the sort of goal that doesn't work on an "N per week" basis, because the number of things I can arrive late to will fluctuate on a daily basis. However it does work on a per-event or per-instance basis; each time a scheduled event occurs, I can simply report a boolean value as to whether I satisfied my goal condition for that event. If…

  15. I would like to be able to share a goal/graph with friends and family without making it completely public. If that is a pain to implement I'd even be okay with a "if you have the right link then you can see the page" system, but with no obvious public link.

  18. Motivation: It seems a bit tricky to edit intermediate goals (for example, setting goal too low and then high would create some unrealistic goals (e.g., +100 hours/week). Once a goal is set like this mistakenly, it's hard to change the goal, and it also reduces motivation to some degree.

Suggestion: One possible solution is to allow adjusting goals multiple times before
"committing". This way, I would be able to try changing the goals until I get comfortable with a new goal, but
once I press commit button, then the goal wouldn't be changed (at least
    within the next week).

  19. When editing the settings for my goal, if I switch between "Basic" "Reminder" and "Advanced" on Chrome v14.0 , I lose the information I had submitted in the other tabs. Thus, I'm forced to click submit before switching to another tab.

My intuition tells me that I should be able to fill out all three tabs and hit submit on any of the three to see changes. I'm not sure that's happening :)
