Let me archive goals I've Completed Successfully immediately.
I have a goal in state "Goal Completed Successfully" that I want to archive. For some reason it is counting down 7 days until it will actually archive.
I can't think of any reason to prevent archiving of a completed goal.

I would rather have beeminder ask me explicitly upon completion whether I want to continue with a new end date or archive, and give me that immediate option for either.
Let's say my goal is to read the entire Harry Potter series, and I've given myself an odometer goal of x pages per day which will allow me to complete the series in two months. Once I reach my completion date, it shouldn't be another week before the goal archives; I've got nothing left of that goal to do!
I feel like if the same 7 days until archive is in place for weight loss related goals (I don't know if it is, haven't seen the end of MY weight loss goal), it could encourage people to drop more weight than is healthy.

I think you're right, but one possible reason is just consistency. If we always have that 7-day delay, even for successfully completed goals, then you'll always expect and never be surprised by it.
An even weaker argument is that often you didn't really "successfully complete" the goal, you just bumped into the goal date and having it hang around another week is Beeminder being all "are you *sure* you don't want to restart this goal instead of getting rid of it?"
