Allow instant archiving of successfully completed goals
If the user has achieved their goal, they shouldn't have to wait 7 days before being allowed to archive it.

Oops, looks like this reverted when we made some other changes to the Archive button. Unmarking this “complete” and eager for more feedback on this — just reply to this email with off-the-cuff reactions or reply publicly on uservoice. Thanks everyone, and sorry for the reversion!

Thanks!
I would like this feature because setting a goal date in the road dial is natural, and then it feels natural to be able to clean up the goal instantly after it is successful and I'm done ogling it.
So far this is the only goal I've actually finished (I can't keep Beeminding my standing desk because I don't have the desk anymore :-/) so I wouldn't say this is a huge problem. It would be more annoying if I finished goals more often.

This is marked as completed but it doesn't seem to be. Here is my successful goal that I can't get to archive instantly: https://www.beeminder.com/drtall/goals/standing

Yes. At very least change the language of archiving — which currently says you're "crying uncle" on a goal. But if you've already succeeded on it, that's not true! Success should be more an occasion for affirmation than (1) a delayed archiving process and (2) a warning that you're giving up.

Came to post this, ran a search instead, saw it had already been posted, gave it three votes. I use the iPhone app, which automatically sorts goals based on how many days until derailment. I find that feature incredibly useful, as I'm beeminding so many goals that it helps to be able to focus on what I need to do immediately and what I have built buffer on and can put off. The problem is the very top goal on my list is the goal I completed yesterday, and it will remain the top goal on my list for another week, which is not helpful at all.
