  2. Android 4.2.2
    Phone: Nexus 4

Tagtime version 1.2.5 Dec 2, 2011 from the play store.

When the ping list first appears, the dates display correctly. When you scroll to pings that were not loaded on the first page, the ping names are indented to the left such that the date is partially obscured. For example the rightmost 3 from 2013-04-13 would be obscured by the ping name.

When first page pings are scrolled off the screen and then back on, the dates are similarly obscured.

  3. This would be especially valuable for me in that my Gmail Snooze program -- http://messymatters.com/snooze -- lets me weasel too much on my GmailZero goal. I want to mind the total number of messages in my inbox or snoozed to reappear in my inbox.

I’ve done this now! The default profile picture is Gravatar if you have one.

(If you’ve submitted a profile picture already, it will stay as it is, but you can remove it)

  6. It would be great if Beeminder could integrate with Harvest (great time tracking, invoicing and billing software) to allow the automatic updating of time spent on certain tasks or projects. It would be most useful if you could manually select more than one task to contribute data points to a single beeminder graph/goal based on the time spent doing them.

    What do you think?

  8. goal description can only be seen on the goal overview and only as a tooltip. this is bad, especially if your description contains links or text you'd like to copy

  9. I'm talking about the numbers that tell you how close you are to the bottom, middle, and top of the yellow brick road.

Or in the response to new data submitted.

Kind of like how a blood test gives reference numbers for each individual test, this will allow me to glance at my email and immediately have those numbers handy if I don't remember my target range for each goal.

  10. If I have a goal of at least 10 widgets per day, but for the first week happen to do 20 widgets per day, I am able to take a weeks break without danger.

For many goals this is undesirable - I may want to do "strictly at least 10 every day" and not "an average of at least 10 in a 2 week period".

    I suggest either/or:
    (i) A button to "raise" the road to your current progress, so that you lose your accumulated buffer. (Perhaps this is already implemented/suggested, but I cant find anything)

    (ii) Set up goals…

The original author of this suggestion just emailed to say we can now mark it as completed. We were delighted to learn that they stuck with us for two years and that they appreciate the progress we’ve made. We do still have a lot to do to make Beeminder self-explanatory to newbees. And we will get there! Thank you so much for bearing with us in the meantime! Keep the feedback coming…

PS: Here’s part of the “explain better” part in the meantime (until it’s truly self-explanatory): http://blog.beeminder.com/newbees

  12. I can import my RescueTime 'Unproductive' time into Beeminder, but it's not actually useful because you treat all RescueTime goals as positive, and this one needs to be negative. Flip the sign!

(If there were a button I could press to get 'Custom' access to an existing non-Custom goal, I could flip the sign myself, but I understand if you think this is too powerful a button to let me press.)

  13. For instance, I started a goal to get up earlier. The way to quantify this is "minutes-to-noon". Normally I wake up at 7:30 so I set the goal for 6 in 3 months. Obviously, first weekend one value was very low and the goal was counted as "derailed" and cannot be continued even though it wasn't, really - waking up is not like weight that you lose or building up miles on runs, so one slip is not super critical as long as it doesn't become a habit.
Maybe "maintain" goals could track the value being above threshold some percentile…

  14. Currently the e-mail bot, if enabled, bugs me each day. This is annoying as I usually enter the data on the web, but sometimes it's useful to prod me when I haven't. How about only bugging me when it's necessary?

  15. Currently, I have to go through the FAQ to access the public gallery. It would be nice to have an easier way to view it without actually bookmarking it. Also, those who don't read the FAQ have no idea that it exists.

Further, I cannot easily find an explanation of the anit-weasel feature.

The site is lots improved! Let me quote you the new description of the anti-weasel feature, from next to the checkbox where you turn it on: “I’m a weaselling weasler, and you should ignore even the most dire of excuses unless I can produce an actual Doctor’s note, or a public announcement of my excuse. (For obvious reasons, this isn’t uncheckable!)”

  16. If I have made a mistake entering a data point, I'd like to fix it after I entered it (maybe only within a certain time window).

I'm thinking something like interactive rebase in Git:
    http://technosorcery.net/blog/2010/02/07/fun-with-the-upcoming-1-7-release-of-git-rebase---interactive---autosquash/

    i.e. entering:
    21 100 "donation to xyz"
21 25 "fixup! donation to xyz"

    would end up as:
    21 125 "donation to xyz"

You can do this from the Data tab.

Let us know if you meant that there should be a way to do it via the bot.

Actually, for the common case of Do More goals you can do exactly what you show in your example, since Do More goals are auto-summed.

PS: I think this note goes out as email to everyone who subscribed to this idea. Can someone confirm that you can reply to it and that goes to support@beeminder.com? Thanks!

  17. I can't find much info about this feature, except that one can send data to import@beeminder.com. Presumably it determines your identity by origin email address. If there's no other other auth then this is insecure, since I can masquerade as another user with publicly available. Information.

  18. I made a goal of doing X minutes of work a day, but then I decided it'd be easier to enter in hours.

I'd love to be able to change the units (scale both the slope and the data point, in technical terms) so I can do stuff like that.

  19. I think of my goals as "do 30 reps / day", and have to constantly multiply by 7 to adjust the dial. I have forgotten to do that on multiple occasions and started with an unintentionally flat road, so "per day" UI sugar would be nice.

  20. In contrast, I have installed and test-driven RescueTime 3 times over the years.

One reason I like TagTime better is that unlike RescueTime, it TagTime does not cancel shutdown if I forget to stop it before I try to shut down my OS X machine.

Another reason I like it is that unlike RescueTime, it does not hide my data from me: TagTime has a file, called richard.log where "richard" is whatever your user name is, with all my data in it in a very simple format.
