  1. I started a new goal yesterday and didn't realize that I needed to set it up from the partner apps in Fitbit until after I got it set up. Now I cannot see a way to change it.

  2. Just like we can with our datapoints, being able to export the average would be nice as a lot of people consider it the "true" value of e.g. their weight

  3. Memrise has a point system similar to Duolingo. It also counts the total of words learned.

  4. Please make the units and fine-print for each goal easily viewable from the goal entry page.

I primarily use Beeminder via Android Mobile App. I've established some very specific rules for myself for many of my goals in the fine print. Unfortunately I can't read the fine print for my goals on the Android app, so I sometimes have to guess as to whether or not something qualifies.

For example, I have a goal that requires I complete two pomodoros per per week on a specific project - but because I want to encourage myself to only work on it…

  5. So in this image http://imgur.com/Gr6TUqm instead of
    ce 1d
    I'd see
    ce +0.87

My use case: I already know how many days left I have (because of the color), what I don't know is how much I need to do (which is the thing I want to be able to pick up at a glance).

Like for one particular goal, I have it set to 8/week, so the one day a week where I have to do it twice tends to come as a bit of a surprise. And there's a big difference between having to run half a mile…

  7. wordpress.com blogs can't have iframes and I imagine that isn't the only place on the web. Would be nice to have the code provided that does basically <a href="link to graph"><img src="link to graph image"></a></img> (which is what I did for my blog post: http://blog.wraithan.net/2015/01/13/beeminding-zenircbot-3-0/ )

Even better would be if the url took parameters to tell it the size of graph to make (with obvious limits) so I can make a widget that fits nicely in a side bar of any width. Or make them a bit smaller to have two side by side in a post without making…

  8. Currently zapier integration allows me to feed a goal with data from other service. However, I would like to use beeminder as a trigger for something else. Possible uses: I keep a diary with beeminder and when I log sometihing new in my "daily goal" I wouldl like to let idonethis now, or update a database with a value, etc. Also, another use of this is to get a productivity buddy: when my buddy inputs new data to beeminder, I can get instantly notified so I can check in and actually see if he is lying or weasling.

  9. Currently, even if the user doesn't revoke an application (I know, because it's my app and I didn't revoke me!) every so often (months probably) the OAuth2 access token stops working. Now, given the OAuth2 spec, access tokens are generally meant to have a finite lifespan, but that's why we've usually got a refresh token, which can then be used to generate new access tokens, but the OAuth2 for Beeminder doesn't seem to supply those...

I'd really like apps to just keep working once a user authorises them, unless they explicitly remove them. Having tokens just die with no user…

  14. Most applications I use accept European regional settings, but Beeminder does not. It would be nice to be able to use the comma as a decimal separator instead of the dot.

  15. 1)Having write-protected comments would allow for a more robust hackery, such as an improved Must-Do list.

2)Being allowed to attach arbitrary data to a goal would allow for even more interesting hackery.

  16. I was on Duolingo this morning (at about 8:30 EST). Duolingo updated Beeminder automatically at 9:31 (not sure time zone). At 9:40am EST I get a reminder email to go to Duolingo, which tells me in the body of the message that I already hit my target today. Could the reminders only send out if data hasn't already happened, especially for the automatic trackers like Duolingo? I like the reminder, but a reminder so soon after hitting target is just junk mail.

  17. It is vital, in order to track a goal that is worked on through different mediums/platforms, to have the transparency at a sub-category level within the fixed categories built in Rescue time.
I feel it is within your interest to have this in Beeminder.
I'm currently struggling to set a pledge on my abs goal, simply because I use 2 apps to set my daily trainings.
Rescue Time and Beeminder are the perfect combination! Really!!! I don't even want to think of the poor alternative of manual input!

Hope you can make it happen!

  19. You've got "Add a credit card" up there. Yeah good. GOOD FOR YOU! As a business you've totally forgotten WIIFM (what's in it for me). I will probably NEVER give you a credit card, because... I sense you care about your interests before mine. Try to wine and dine me before you try to fuck me.

  20. 1000 calories = 1 kcal = 1 Calorie. Maybe not the world's best convention, but convention nonetheless. Uppercase Calories are what nutrition labels and exercise apps refer to.
